Warming Up With a Dose of Psych

Lucky for us in Windsor/Detroit we don't look like the above picture, meaning so much snow...other parts of the country have been hammered but not us.  It would be nice to have those beautiful old buildings once again.  It would be fun to walk around and visit the shops and catch a movie at the Palace...just not on that particular day I suppose.  Well it's always good to remember what came before and equally good is to forge ahead.  That's why Oracle is pretty nifty.  I love mixing and mingling true psych from the era with new gems that are being produced by those who love the sound.  I love mixing sounds from all over the world.  Oracle is indeed the most psychedelic spot on the FM dial in the area.  I haven't been crowned Rose City Queen of Psychedelia for nothing!

Misty Psychedelic Dreams...

Welcome friends to Oracle episode 160.  Last week's edition of Oracle was not blogged due to the CJAM annual pledge drive.  Yes, I did put on a show but it was mostly talk.  Pledge drives are fun yet quite draining.  This week I decided to come down from the pledge drive high and give you something that was still groovy and upbeat yet a whole lot softer.  Psychedelic folk (acid folk) was the name of the game.  A way to sooth the savage beast, also good considering the show also fell on what is known in Canada as Remembrance Day.
